Event Overview

Alpe d’Huez provided the perfect destination, being the home of Triathlon EDF Alpe D’Huez. This is one of the most stunning long course events in the world and a pure bucket list race for any triathlete. We took care of airport transfers, accommodation, dining and in-resort transportation. The athletes were met from Lyon airport and checked into luxury chalets where we hand-delivered race bibs for those competing in long or short course events. To acclimatise, we drove our guests round the cycle route in Ten80 vehicles before heading back to the chalets for welcome drinks and dinner. The long course event comprised a 2.2 km Lac du Verney swim, a 118 km cycle, with 3,200m of vertical featuring the 21 bends used by the Tour de France. The cyclists ascended 1120m to the ski resort of Alpe d’Huez for the 20km run, battling the high-altitude conditions, but with magnificent views to appreciate.

The post-event BBQ supper at the chalets included our guests and their families where we celebrated the triumphs. This was a fantastic, charitable, feel-good event, with memories and achievements captured by our favourite event photographer, Charlie Davies.
