NSPCSKI: Music in the Alps

Chamonix, France
Client: NSPCC and Infinitum
Sector: Charity and Broadcasting
Group Size: 20

The Brief

A lively, four-day event combining skiing with live music for selected VIP media guests, to raise money for the leading children’s charity, NSPCC.

Insight

Ten80 have been running NSPCSKI for three consecutive years in association with Infinitum, offering a very high-level ski trip in return for generous donations to the charity.  Chamonix’s best restaurants, après ski and music venues are selected to host the many fundraising events, where live music is central, inviting a mix of local musicians, the talented NSPCSKI guests and even some of the Ten80 team, to participate in the gigs.

Highlights

Each year we take over Brasserie les Marmottons restaurant at the bottom of the home run at Les Grands Montets for the NSPCSKI “mini festival”. After lunch, the Ten80 house band invite various local artists and guests to join them on the stage to participate in an afternoon of music and dancing, all to raise money for the NSPCC.

Event Overview

This year, we selected the newly opened La Folie Douce Hotel in Chamonix, famous for its après ski performances and eclectic design as the base for the event. From there, we took the group to Mont Blanc’s Chamonix’s legendary ski areas Les Grands Montets, Brevent and Courmayeur for the perfect blend of skiing, delicious mountain lunches and après, including an evening of skidoos and Italian food at the fantastic mountain refuge Maison Vieille.
