The Brief

Competing against 4 suppliers, we were briefed by an international leading Brand Experiential agency to produce proposals for a summer sales incentive for one of their best clients, for 200 winners, split into 3 groups across 3 consecutive weekends. The requirement was for a special, standout destination to feature multiple activities that could not be readily experienced by the average tourist.

Insight

We recommended Chamonix, Mont Blanc, our home town, as their best solution…

  • The array of both traditional and less well-known activities in Chamonix during the summer is surprisingly vast.
  • We split the groups into sub-groups by activity based on how ‘extreme’ each individual wanted to go!
  • We also ensured there were qualified and experienced, English-speaking high mountain guides for each relevant activity

Event Overview

  • Ten80 Events collaborated with their client to curate a series of unforgettable experiences in Chamonix and the Alps. Designed to challenge, inspire, and immerse the winners in the raw beauty and thrill of the mountains.
  • Across 3 nights and 4 days, the group experienced white water rafting, canyoning, an adventure park with zipwires high in the forest, a luge ride that is available in both summer and winter, and an ice climbing and glacier-walking full day activity.
  • The glacier walking was the jewel in the crown and placed all the winners onto land rarely experienced by your average tourist. Everyone was kitted with harnesses and crampons and attached to a guide, allowing them to explore the Mer de Glace glacier, and try their hand at ice climbing, none of which is for the faint-hearted!
  • Not forgetting the importance of incorporating some nightlife, we organised an evening of cabaret and dancing at the world-famous La Folie Douce on the final night for a well-deserved party, following dinner in their La Petit Cuisine restaurant.
